Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 785, a Tree Preservation & <br />Landscaping Ordinance. <br />Interim Administrator Ericson provided an overview of Ordinance 785, an Ordinance for tree <br />preservation and landscaping. <br />Interim Administrator Ericson requested adoption of the 4rdinance and authorization to publish a <br />summary of the Ordinance. <br />MOTION/SECOND: MuellerlHull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Ordinance 785, a Tree <br />Preservation and Landscaping Ordinance. <br />Mayor Marty said that he is pleased to be able to get a tree preservation ordinance on the books. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />D. Resolution 7198, Approving Selection of the Official City Newspaper, Acting <br />Mayor, Treasurer and Official Depositories for 2008 <br />• Assistant to the Administrator Crane provided information on the bids for official City <br />newspaper. The City currently uses the Bulletin and the rates continue to be the lowest. This <br />Resolution would also appoint the acting Mayor, Treasurer and Official Depositories for 2008. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7198, <br />Approving Selection of the Official City Newspaper, Acting Mayor, Treasurer, and Official <br />Depositories for 20008. <br />Council Member Flaherty asked whether the Bulletin could be the first and the Focus as the <br />secondary rather than the St. Paul Pioneer Press, since they never respond to requests for quotes. <br />Interim Administrator indicated that the timeframe cutoffs for publishing requirements can be <br />met with the St. Paul Pioneer Press, but the Council certainly could use another paper as the <br />secondary paper. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />E. Resolution 7194, Approving the TimeSaver Contract for Recording Secretarial <br />Services. <br />• Assistant to the Administrator Crane indicated that Staff is pleased with TimeSaver and <br />presented the contract for consideration. <br />
