Mounds View City Council December 10, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br />Mayor Marty asked that this be added to an upcoming work session for discussion and council • <br />concurred. <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUISNESS <br />None. <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearing on Resolution 7191 Adopting the 2008 Property Tax Levy and <br />Resolution 7192 Adopting the 2008 Budgets for All Funds <br />Mayor Marty opened the public hearing at 7:13 p.m. <br />Finance Director Beer provided an overview of the property tax levy and budget for Council and <br />those in attendance. <br />Hearing no public comment Mayor Marly closed the public hearing. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7191, <br />Adopting the 2008 Property Tax Levy. <br />Mayor Marty complimented Staff for cutting the budget back to hold this increase to 0%. • <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Finance Director Beer provided an overview of Resolution 7192 Adopting the 2008 Budgets for <br />All Funds. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7192, <br />Adopting the 2008 Budgets for All Funds. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />B. Public Hearing to consider the Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 800, <br />Revising Section 12.13 of the Mounds View City Charter Pertaining to <br />Miscellaneous and Transitory Provisions Associated with the Frequency of the <br />Preparation of the City Newsletter <br />Mayor Marly opened the public hearing. <br />Interim Administrator Ericson requested that Council continue the public hearing to January to <br />allow the Charter Commission time to consider the proposed language changes. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Flaherty. To Continue the Public Hearing to January 14, 2008. • <br />
