Mounds View City Council December 10, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />Council Member Flaherty indicated that the study done, states that dynamic signs hold driver • <br />attention and that is of concern to him. He then said that this is the first reading, and there will <br />be time to review any other information provided by Mr. Sonterre and C1earChannel. <br />Mayor Marty indicated that he takes exception to this, because the volume of information was a <br />lot to take in and the timing of this was not carried forth correctly by Mr. Riggs. He then said <br />that he has asked about this and talked to Interim Administrator Ericson about this, and there <br />seems to have been time to get this done prior to the 11~' hour. <br />Mayor Marty said that he feels that this is almost gross negligence to rush this through, because <br />discussions could have been had on this matter since July. <br />Mayor Marty said that the last piece of information on a study to be completed in 2009 troubles <br />him the most, because that leaves the City and Clear Channel sitting on the fence for another year <br />or longer. <br />Council Member Mueller indicated that five or six of these documents pertain to information that <br />came out in October or November. In speaking with the City of Minnetonka on these matters, <br />even though they had materials in time for the June meeting, they were nowhere finished <br />wrapping things up in June. She then said that the SRF information, and information from the <br />City of Minnetonka, was not available until October. She fizrther said that there has been a great <br />deal of effort by the Staff to ensure that the timing requirements are met. <br />Mayor Marty indicated that he takes exception to the fact that there were not even any updates • <br />provided to the City on this matter by Mr. Riggs over the course of the year. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />8.
