Readiness Conditions and Warning Procedures <br />Certain emergency conditions are defined as readiness conditions <br />in terms of the criticality of the international situauon. Briefly, <br />they are as follows: <br />Readiness Condition 4 a deterioration in international relations <br />but no immediate danger of breakdown of these relations. <br />R eadiness Condition 3 a worsening international situation to the <br />point that a possible break in these relations may occur. <br />Readiness Condition 2 a serious deterioration of international <br />relations with a possible break of these relations and possibility <br />of hostile action. <br />Readiness Condition 1-e situation where the resident of the <br />United States has advised the Governor and the public that war <br />is imminent or hostilities may have already occuired. <br />Specific; action to be taken by local government officials, Civil <br />Defense staff and the public upon receipt of any of the above <br />conditions as outlined in Appendix 4 and 9 -A. <br />E. Natural Disaster <br />When a disaster occurs, the Mayor will institute the necessary <br />steps to alleviate the effects of such disaster in accordance with <br />Ordinance No. 8.
