Comstock <br />Reuben G.Achterkirch <br />June 1, 1959 <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor James W. Gibson at 8:09 P.M. on June 1, 1959, at the Village Hall, 145 West <br />Highway 96 and the following were present: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />the Police Commission to retain the services <br />as a patrolman during the summer months. Mo- <br />retain the services of Mr. Rustad for a per- <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />77 <br />Motion by Sullivan, seconded by Smith that the village underwrite a subscription <br />to the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association at $3.00 per member for each <br />police officer other than officers temporarily assigned to the Police Force. <br />A committee consisting of Clerk Smith as Chairman, Mr. Achterkirch, Mr. Bell, Mr. <br />Gibson and Mt. Meyers was appointed to discuss and prepare a resolution concerning <br />sick leave and vacation privileges for the village police officers and employees. <br />Motion by Smith, seconded by Gibson that two weeks severance pay be granted to <br />former Police Chief John Och. Smith, yes; Christensen, Sullivan, Gibson, No. <br />The police report for May 1959 was read and explained by Sergeant John Robertus. <br />The Clerk read the minutes of the meeting of May 18, 1959 and the following cor- <br />rections were made thereto. In paragraph 1 wherein it is stated Lot 69 under Auditor's <br />Sub 89, the word under to be stricken from the minutes. Motion by Sullivan, seconded <br />by Christensen that the minutes he approved as amended. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. 'Wilson appeared before the council in regards to the division of Lot 86 Spring <br />Lake Park Hillview Addition. Motion by Chri "tensen, seconded by Gibson t'at we accept <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission and allow division of Lot 86 Spring Lake <br />Park Hillview Addition subject to the conditions contained in the building code. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. George Gustafson appeared before the council in regards to the subdivision <br />of Lot 69 Auditor's Sub. 89. A recommendation from the Planning Commission trI --d <br />and the council agreed to table the subdivision of the a property until <br />further notice from the Planning Commission regarding a master street plan for the <br />Village. <br />Mr. Hellerstedt appeared '.efore the council for approval of an application for <br />rezoning the triangle at dighways 8 end 10 from Perm Residential to Business.
