Motion by Christensen, seconded by Sullivan to concur with the Planning <br />Commission recommendation and approve the subdivision of Mr. Gustafson's property Lot 69 <br />Auditors Subdivision 89 into the nine lots as proposed by his plat. Motion carried enanimously. <br />Motion by Smith that the Village Attorney be instructed to draw up an agreement between <br />Mr. Krocker, owner of the Pinewood buildings, for the acceptance of one section of the <br />building for the village and police office, and that the present office be moved into each <br />premises by September 1st if at all possible. Motion seconded by Hodges and carried <br />nnee mously. <br />A check was received from Mr. Fred Madsen which was accepted as a justice of peace fine <br />from a Mr. Skadja. The acceptance of the present check signed by Mr. i4adsen, pays ,in full <br />the amount for which Mr. Madsen was h>ld liable. Mr. Fred Madsen has also tendered three <br />other checks, one each in the amount of P590.00, $220.00 and S350.00 for payment of justice <br />of peace fines collected. <br />Motion by Gibson, seconded by Christennen that Mr. Arthur Olmstead be appointed to the <br />Planning Commission. Motion carried unanaimously. <br />Mr. John G. Bell appeared before the council regarding ordinance books. It was <br />recommended that in the future the deputy clerk be instructed to furnish copies of all <br />ordinances passed to each of the justices of peace and the Police Department, also a copy <br />of legal clipping. <br />Clerk Smith read a letter from the St. Paul Water Department stating that water samples <br />had been taken from the first four houses previously sampled by the Health Department and <br />that they found all to be fit for cooking and drinking use. <br />The following licenses were presented to the council for approval: ?ialuptzak renewal of <br />excavating contracting license, G. A. Gunderson renewal of cement and general contracting <br />license, Triangle Heating Company renewal of heating contracting license and Collins <br />Electric Company renewal of electrical contracting license. Motion y Gibson, seconded by <br />Sullivan to approve the above license. Notion carried unanimously. <br />
