105 <br />Mayor Gibson read a letter from Mr, xinne, chairman of the North Suburban Hospital <br />Committee,' requesting that the council adopt a resolution presented by that Committee. <br />Motion by Gibson seconded by Christensen that the resolution be referred to the attorney <br />for legality and approval and the attorney`e opinion by the next meeting. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />The subject of issuance of liquor licenses by the village of Mounds View was brought <br />to,the attention of the council and referred to the attorney for an investigation of the <br />liquor laws which may have been amended by the'1959 State Legislature and the attorney's <br />report on his findings at the October 6th meeting. <br />mayor Gibson reported on the budget meeting held October 10 which resulted in a budget <br />for 1960 of 49,500 for Road Bridge fund and 524,500.00 for the General Fund bringing <br />the budget to a total of $44,000.00. Budget referred to the attorney for legal correction <br />if necessary who will return a report at the October 6th meeting. <br />Mrs. Robert Waste appeared before the council in regards to a request that some of the <br />recreation fund be allotted and given to the Teen Club which meets at the Pinewood School. <br />Attorney to check the legality of this request. <br />Attorney to check ordinance and resolutions in regard to the Lakeside Park agreement <br />to determine what the council must do in regard to expenditure of money and report back <br />at the October 6th meeting. <br />Motion by Christensen, seconded by Malvin that we enter into an agreement with the Village <br />of Arden Hills for the use of the village hall for council meetings, justice court or <br />any other meetings which we might want to use it for without cost until September 30, 1960 <br />and that any monies owed to Mounds View village for such purpose be waived. 'notion carried <br />unanimously. <br />The bill from the Mutual Insurance Company for Village hall insurance for the period of <br />September 1959 to 1960 was referred to' the attorney. <br />The following notice to be placed in the Bulletin and the Crier newspapers. Regar:h ng <br />the moving of the illage office to 5499 Adams Street until the next issue of the Crier <br />and Bulletin, the people of the village would have to call telephone information to obtain <br />the telephone number of the village office. The village office would be published in the <br />Crier and the Bulletin in the rext issue but e police office prober for the village <br />will continue to be II 4-2200 as in the past. <br />Mrs. Alice Frits gave a report on the Recreation Committee and the police to be advised <br />to heck the playgrounds. The policing of playgrounds, schools, etc. referred to the <br />Police Commission for study and report at the u ctober 6th meeting. <br />Motion by Gibson, seconded by Smith that the agreement drawn up between the Village of <br />t ,.J Mounds Vier and Mr. A. G. }:rocker for rental of the building at 5499 Adams Street in the <br />amount of $50.00 a month for village, office use from September 1st, 1959 to September 30, <br />1960 be approved with the option to lease said premises for one additional year for 3600.00 <br />per year as agreed by the lessor. Iiotion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Malvin to investigate the po_,sibility of moving hockey rinks at Edgewood Junior <br />high school or at the Lakeside Park and the loan or giving of the lumber purchased for a <br />hockey rink last year.
