r. George Gustafson. 'l:peared, before the Council in regards <br />the subdivision of Lot 69 Auditors Sub Division 8 R amsey Cou <br />un der, Sub lots. numbered from 1 to 10 inclusive. The final pla re- <br />ferred to the Planning Commission and the Engineer for checking and <br />a report at the November 3rd meeting. <br />Chief of Police John Robertus appeared before the council and <br />presented a recommendation to hire Dale Pierce as a new patrolman. <br />Chief Robertus stated that Mr. Pierce's qualifications are, good and <br />recommendations high. <br />Meeting at 7 :00 P.M. at the village office, 5499 Adams Street, <br />Monday night, October 26 to discuss the appointment of a patrolman. <br />Persons-living in the Village of Mounds View who wish to make ap- <br />plication to the Police Department may appear at that time and talk <br />to the Chief of Police, Council and Police Commission. <br />Chief Robertus presented some suggestions which included chang- <br />ing the speed limit from 35 miles per hour to 30; miles; per hour on <br />Groveland from Bronson to County Road J and post the required speed <br />limit signs thereon, place a stop sign on Sherwood at Groveland and <br />on Sherwood at Eastwood and place a dead end street sign ca Fairchild <br />County Road H. Motion by Gibson, seconded by Malvin to place a 30 <br />mile an hour sign on Groveland from Bronson to County Road J, on <br />Sherwood at Groveland, on Sherwood at Eastwood and to place a Dead End <br />sign on Fairchild at County Road H. Motion carried unanimously. <br />In regards to the Burninu Ordinance presented by Mayor Gibson the <br />courcil advised Mr. Gibson that upon the next meeting of the Municipal <br />Officials Association on October 28, he stated that the present Burn- <br />ing Ordinance in *ffect by this Village incorporates most of the <br />features of the new burning ordinance and that if the association so <br />desires we could amend our present ordinance to include desired amend- <br />ments. <br />The matter of the Well Ordinance tabled to next meeting. <br />Trustee Christensen and Allen Crane to give a corrected copy of <br />the procedures for building permits, sub- divisions, etc., to the <br />deputy clerk for printing. <br />The zoning ordinance will be discussed on Tuesday, October 27 <br />at 8 :00 at 1450 West Highway 96. <br />Motion by Christensen, seconded by Smith to approve the water re- <br />port submitted by Comstock Davis for the V;lla7e of Mounds View. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The following resolution was presented to the Council: <br />
