Proceedings of the Village Council <br />5/2/6o 030528 <br />The Planning Commission also stated that the Commercial Trailer <br />Sales and Service request for rezoning and building of two buildings <br />for Sales and ,Service receive tentative denial for approval by <br />Commission but to be acted on officially at the next Commission'meetinge <br />The application by Mr. Groberg for an addition of a 100 foot building <br />onto the first addition on the Cities Service. Gasoline station on <br />County Road `I and Adams be returned because of the fact that said <br />building does not conform with the subdivision regulations and that <br />the following items are not shown in the plans presented to the council <br />by Mr. Groberg: No lot contours. <br />2. No soil tests, <br />3. Designers name not present on plans. <br />4. Parking area questionable. <br />5. No provision for sidewalks. <br />Motion by Christensen, seconded by Smith that the above items be <br />conformed to by the builder, Mr! Groberg, before approval or final <br />approval of the building can be given. 5 ayes, motion carried. Mr._ <br />Groberg, who was present at the meeting, stated that he was submitting <br />new plans in conformance with these requirements. Mr. Stole brought <br />up the subject of a Industrial Developmpent committee and suggested <br />that such committee be formed by the council for that purpose. He <br />also suggested Mr. Arthur McClure and Mr. George Gustafson be appointed <br />to this committee. Matter was tabled for further study by the council. <br />The subject of a division of a lot for Mrs. Bak was discussed and <br />motion by Christensen, seconded by Malvin that preliminary approval <br />for division of said lot be granted pending approval by the Planning <br />Commission at their next meeting. 5 ayes, motion carried. <br />Mr. Weaver, attorney for Mr. Wallace Groberg, presented the <br />information regarding the water problem on Mr. Groberg's property <br />on Bronson Drive and that he understood that the council had approved <br />building of that property by Mr. Groberg providing adequate protection <br />be taken regarding the storm iwater run off into the area behind the <br />proposed building project. (It was mentioned that possibly a storm <br />fenc:> of some kind could be erected around the hazardous area). Mr. <br />Weaver was informed by the council that the only solution to the problem <br />would be to drain this water by storm sewer system and that approval <br />for the building project had not been granted at this time due to this <br />condition. Clerk Smith read a letter to the council regarding the <br />issuance of a receipt for each check submitted for the building <br />projects on Bronson Drive which was requested bI Mr. Groberg. Motion <br />by Christensen, seconded by Crane to return the checks for each of <br />the building projects on Bronson Hrive and for the proposed building <br />of the 100 foot addition on the gasoline station on County Road I and <br />Adams Street, said checks to be mailed by registered mail. Crane, <br />Christensen and Smith; aye; Hodges and Malvin, no. Motion carried. <br />The building inspector, Mr. Chris Piehowski, presented a <br />summons to the council which was served on him by a sheriff's deputy <br />which was prepared by the attorney for Mr. Groberg. Said summons <br />prepared by a complaint by Mr. Groberg that Mr. Piehowski maliciously <br />served Mr Groberg with a warrant for him to appear in the justice <br />
