The regular meeting of the Lounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor ;:11an 3. Crane at 3:02 .L. September 12, <br />1960 at the Red Oak School located at Sherwood ;toad and Red Oak <br />Drive. <br />Members present: <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF LOUNDS VIEa <br />RAi 2Y COUNTY <br />MINNESOTA <br />Mayor Allan D. Crane <br />Trustee (Telford C. Christensen <br />Donald C. Iod ;es <br />i'crry i:alvin <br />Attorney :2ichard C. Meyers <br />Ln;ineer C. V. Comstock <br />Minutes of the previous r,eetin; were tabled for readin,• due <br />to the absence of the Clerk, who was attendin; election duties. <br />I :r. Stole, Chairman of the A.anning Commission, reported on <br />the minutes of the meeting of that Committee held August 23, 1960. <br />hr. Stole reported on the followin; requests for action by the <br />ilannina Commission: (1) Request by 3ror.son- Erickson to sub- <br />divide a portion of Lot 62, 1nollwood'Park, Ramsey County into <br />three (3) lots accordin; to a sketch submitted; (2) request by <br />Er. Simon of Simon's Grocery located on :pry. 10 and i:nollwood for <br />a setback variance in order to build an addition onto his store <br />to be used for a liquor store. <br />The request by Bronson Erie :eon to sub divide Lot 62 was <br />discussed by the Council and motion by Christenson, second by <br />Malvin that said company re-submit a subdivision for the entire <br />lot in accordance with the rccomriendaticn of the iTanning Commission. <br />4 ayes, motion carried. <br />The second request submitted to the :lnnnin; Commission con <br />cernin; the variance setback requested by I"r. Simon .;as discussed <br />at previous neetin-s and the Council concurred that said variance <br />should not be arproved. To formalize this action, Mayor Crane <br />moved, Christenson seconded to deny ir. Simon's request for set <br />back variance in order to add a. liquor store adjoinin; or onto his <br />present build_in':. Christenson, Crane, Tod Tcs aye, alvin no. <br />Potion carried. <br />i r.
