PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order at 8 :05 P.M. May 22nd, 1961 at the Red Oak School, <br />Sherwood Rd. and Red Oak Dr., Minneapolis, Minnesota. <br />Present were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Administrative <br />Clerk: <br />Trustees: <br />Attorney: <br />Engineers <br />Public Works <br />Bldg. Blanchard <br />Paul Boog <br />Perry Malvin <br />Melford Christensen <br />Donald Hodges <br />Richard Meyers <br />Les Knutson <br />Supt:Walter Skiba <br />Chris Piehowski <br />000060 <br />Motion by Christensen to approve minutes of May 8th meeting as <br />presented. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes for approval. <br />Minutes of Special Meeting of May 15th were read. Motion by <br />Crane to approve minutes as read. Seconded by Christensen. 4 Ayes. <br />Mr. Hodges entered the meeting at this point 8:10 P.M. <br />The Engineer presented a Preliminary plan in regards to the <br />drainage problem in the 12 Oaks area. The first cost estimate, which <br />the Engineer pointed out was only an approximate figure,of $17,000.00. <br />Mr. Piehowski reported that Mr. Babinski has been cleaning and <br />dosing the present ditches in this area. <br />Mr. Meyers arrived at this point 8:15 P.M. <br />Motion by Christenson to send a work order to the County to•have <br />the following work done: <br />1. Curbing on Co. Rd. H (North side) from <br />2. Curbing on Woodcrest Dr. (South side)" <br />3. To fashion a spillway on North side of Woodcrest at rear of <br />lot lines between Red Oak and Sunnyside Roads. Seconded by Hodges. <br />5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Crane to accept plans for storm sewer in 12 Oaks area. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />The matter of the Condemnation of a home at 8247 Spring Lake <br />Park Road mras brought before the Council. <br />The building inspector reported that after an examination of the <br />premises his recommendation would be to allow the building to remain <br />for storage purposes but that it not be allowed for use as a dwelling. <br />Motion by Blanchard to accept the Building Inspector's recommenda- <br />tion and allow the continued use of the building for storage purposes <br />only. Seconded by Crane. 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney reported that access to the :above mentioned property <br />was not of Village concern, but rather it was a private matter. <br />Red Oak to Sunnyside Rd. <br />n a n n <br />
