Minutes of July 10th, 1961 Council Meeting(oontt) <br />Mayor Crane read the monthly report of the Mounds View Police <br />Department which atated that in 5,514 miles patrolled three arrests <br />made, four juvenile cases handled and three emergency hospital runs <br />with 175 calls answered and 47 tickets issued. Both squad cars <br />were called out to assist Ramsey County with the raid on a Bottle <br />Club in Arden Mills. <br />Mayor Cr;e reminded the Council of the suggested budget <br />calendar, a suggested time table for budgeting submitted by <br />the Village Clerk. <br />Mayor Crane presented a letter <br />advising him of a s•Irvey to be made <br />the next 30 to 60 days to determine <br />for a more favorable fire insurance <br />The Attorney, Mr. iMieyers submitted: <br />1. The final forms of the Plant Performance guarantee to <br />be signed by D.W4 Hickey and The Tubomatic Co. The <br />Council recommended the Attorney to forward these <br />forms to be signed <br />2. Resolution #77 Modifying assessments, for dater Main <br />Improvement with six property divisions. Motion by <br />Crane to adopt Resolution ;'77. Seconded by Hodges. <br />4 Ayes for approval. <br />Resolutidn #78 certifying that the attched list of <br />assessments have been paid. Motion by Hiddges to <br />move its adoption. Seconded by Christensen. 4 Ayes <br />for approval. <br />4. Civil Defense Ordinance proposed. The Council deferred <br />action until further study can be made. <br />5. An Ordinace to establish a Police Commission. Council <br />deferred action for further study. <br />6. Police Civil Service Rules and Regulations. Council <br />deferred action for further study. <br />7. Air Conditioning Ordinance, Referred to next meetifL. <br />3 <br />-3- <br />000088 <br />from the Fire Underwriters <br />of the Fire Protection within <br />the eligibility of the Village <br />classification. <br />Mayor Crane reported that Pounds View has $74 in the <br />Municipal State Aid Construction Fund and ;;3.307.00 State Aid <br />Maintenance Fund as of June 30th, 1961. <br />Mayor Crane road a letter announcing that a meeting was to be <br />held in Fridley, Tuesday night July 11th and the Council was invited <br />to discuss plans for establishing a Sanitary Sewer District. <br />The Engineer, Les Knutson, reported that Northern States Power <br />requested to install gas mains in the Village. The Council referred <br />this matter to the Agenda Meeting, Monday July 17th. <br />Mr. Knutson reported that the Contractor for the Mater <br />Filtration Plant will begin work this week. <br />
