-3- <br />The matter of the Haluptzok sub division was discussed <br />and the following points were agreed upon by the Council: <br />1. Minimum street width to be 50 feet. <br />2. Minimum lot front footage to be 85 feet. <br />The Attorney presented a proposed contract between the <br />Village and the Midwest Planning Commission which was read and <br />discussed. The contract was referred back to the Attorney for <br />re- wording and will be presentee at the next Council Meeting. <br />The Mayor announced tit Mr. Kenneth Ballenger, Civil <br />Defense Director, for the Village was in the hospital due to a <br />heart attack and was in serious condition. The Clerk was <br />instructed to write a note and send it to Mrs. Ballenger <br />expressing the Council's wishes for a speedy recovery to her <br />husband. <br />000035 <br />The matter of a road washout at Brighton Lane and County <br />Road "H" was referred to Mr. Skiba for correction, <br />Mr. Sullivan reported on• the work done on the Hillview <br />drainage ditch and stated he would investigate further and <br />report back to the Council before further action was taken. <br />The Clerk was instructed to send a letter to the State <br />Highway Department regarding the dangerous condition that exists <br />due to the removal of the Irondale Inn at Highway #10 and <br />County Road H -2. The Sahara Club and Mr. Skiba's home on Highway 8 <br />across from the Rice Creek entrance to the Arms Plant <br />also have some open pits and flimsy barricades at these sights. <br />These sights constitute a menace' to people in the Village. <br />The matter of the lack of a curb -stop on the Herbst <br />project 1960 -3, at 1915 Bronson Drive was referred to the Engineer <br />for study and a report at the next regular meeting, <br />The Clerk was instructed to send a letter to the two home <br />owners on St. Stephens Street, who have erected a fence on a <br />drainage easement, to remove said fence so the Village may <br />construct a drain through that area. <br />Mr. Skiba reported that he had been unable to get the <br />easements for the drainage system in the Pinewood Terrace area <br />and the Attorney was instructed to see if he could get them. <br />After reading a letter from the Attorney for Mr. Karl <br />Dedolph,which refused the offsr of the Mounds View Council <br />regarding the payment for the Utility Building. the Attorney <br />recommended that the Council take no further action at this time. <br />The Attorney reported that the County Commissioner,Engineer <br />and Attorney's were still at work on the matter of blocking of <br />the Judicial Ditch on the Don Voge property. <br />The Attorney presented and read resolution regarding <br />Police vacations. <br />Motion by Sullivan to adopt Resolution #107, <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes <br />
