0J0024 <br />A Mr. Gospodarski appeared requesting a subdivision <br />of his lot in order to build a new home. Motion by Sullivan to <br />approve the subdivision request and waive the 100 foot frontage reg- <br />ulation to allow a 93 foot frontage, further to waive the 10 foot <br />setback regulation for garage from side yard and allow a 5 foot 2 <br />inches setback because of hardship. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />The Clerk informed the Council that all papers for the <br />proposed rezoning of Hugo Bjorkman property were completed and on file. <br />Motion by Sullivan to set a Public Hearing on March 25 at 9:00 P.M. <br />for the purpose of rezoning the Northeast of the Southeat of <br />section 5, Township 30, Range 23 from R -1 to B -3 with special use <br />permit and R -3 for multiple dwellings. The Clerk shall souse such <br />notices as may be required by law to be published and mailed. Said <br />request and developer to be at next Planning Commission Meeting with <br />such information as maybe necessary. Planning Commission to give a <br />report on this at the Public Hearing. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />A Mr. Moe appeared requesting final approval of the sub- <br />division of his lot. Preliminary approval givenin 1962. Motion <br />by Crane to approve subdivison as requested Copy on file) <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />At a residents request, the Clerk will investigate <br />the clean -up; paint up; fix -up campaign dates in surrounding <br />communities to coordinate Mounds View Village campaign with theirs. <br />The Attorney was instructed to check the Ordinance regarding <br />NSF checks and to recommend changes neeB <br />Mr. Wicklander, 3737 2nd st. N.E. (Su -8 -0827) requested <br />the Village to sell or offer to sell all or part of the peat being <br />removed on the Hillview project. This was referred to Mr. Hodges <br />and the Engineer for study and recommendation. <br />Mayor Crane presented the reportof the Chief of Police <br />regarding County Road H -2. on file <br />Motion by Crane to send a work order to the County for <br />the following. <br />1. Have a white line painted in the center of County Road H -2 <br />from Highway 8 to Highway 10. <br />2. Have a clearly painted yellow line in the "Wo Passing" <br />zone in the same area. <br />3. Have signs erected stating speed limits and "Speed <br />Electrically Timed." <br />Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes. <br />The Polio report for February, 1963 was read and filed.. <br />A letter from the Police Chief regarding pay of Officer <br />Kardell was read and filed. <br />Motion by Crane to concur with r <_:ommendaton of Police <br />Chief and raise Officer Kardellts salary from $50.00 to $100.00 <br />per month effective March 15, 1963. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />A letter from Governor Anderson regarding employment <br />of the handicapped was read and filed. <br />
