-3- <br />Motion by Crane to request the Village Engineer, Attornne Uf a <br />and Fiscal Agent to proceed with planning for sanitary _sewer, with <br />optional plans and recommendations ready by July 8, 1963 for Council <br />discussion prior to a tentatively scheduled public hearing on or <br />about July 29, 1963. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes <br />Motion by Crane that the Village Engineer contact the County Engineer, <br />Dean Ankian, to co- ordinate scheduled County Road work with <br />sanitary sewer planning and /or construction in Mounds View. <br />Seconded by Blanchard. <br />Motion by Crane to have the Village Attorney proceed with <br />:steps to acquire right of ways for comtemplated sewer projects. <br />Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Crane to appoint Chris Piehowski as Chief <br />Inspector at a salary of $50.00 per month plus the present percentage <br />of fee, effective June 1, 1963. Seconded by Blanchard. 5 Ayes <br />A copy of Chief Inspectors duties on file with and a part <br />of official record of minutes, <br />The matter of the definition of water hook -up as it applies <br />to the ordinance was discussed. The Attorney stated that in his <br />opinion .a hook -up was not complete until the meter had been purchased <br />and installed. <br />Motion by Blanchard to publish the schedule of water hook -up <br />charges. Seconded by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. <br />Clerk's Office will notify by mail all water permit holders <br />of the deadline date of June 30 and of the requirement of meter <br />purchase and installation to avoid the late hook-up charge <br />The Police report for May was read and filed. <br />A letter from the Ramsey County Engineer regarding <br />extension of County Road I between Groveland Road and Highway 10 <br />was read and filed. <br />A joint Council meeting with New Brighton will be held <br />on June 19, 1963 at 8 :00 P.M. in the New Brighton Council Chambers <br />to discuss the proposed joint Municipal Court. <br />Motion by Sullivan to hire Mr. Jon Miller 7415 Knollwood Drive <br />as street department employee at $1.50 per hour effective June 17, 1963. <br />Sconded by Crane. 5 Ayes. <br />notice A <br />'vas roceivedfromthe County Weed l Inspector d and e referred y to h Mr. <br />Village <br />2,uLiavan for action. <br />The Lakeside Commission has decided not to hire their own <br />T.:oliccsan for the park, but has requested Vigilance on the part of <br />Folice Departments protecting the property. <br />P y. <br />Motion by Sullivan to concur with Building Inspectors <br />rI. om.nendation and allow a variance to the building code for Mr. <br />3 :Tohnke 8408 Eastwood Drive. Said variance is an addition to <br />norAe that will protrude 18' beyond present front line. <br />by Crane. <br />5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Malvin to waive side yard set back requirement and <br />set back of five feet on the East side of 2126 Terrace Drive. <br />by Sullivan. 5 Ayes. <br />
