C ;tlG3: <br />Mr. Charles Jackson, Civil Defense Director, stated that the <br />Civil Defense Department feels they should not expend further money <br />on the rescue truck until a heated garage is available for their use. <br />Mr. Rusted will investigate the possibility of renting a garage until <br />the new maintenance garage is constructed. <br />The Engineer reported that the Chies Company was the low <br />bid and recommend acceptance. <br />Motion by La Vaque to accept the bid of Chies Brothers in <br />the amount. of $4,105.71 for Water and Street Improvement Project 1964 -1. <br />Seconded by Rusted. 5 Ayes. <br />Change Order 1 to McCrossan Contract was presented by <br />the Engineer. <br />Motion by Hodges to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute <br />the Change order and instruct the Engineer not to allow the contractor <br />to do any of this work until the executed agreement from the Highway <br />Department is in the Village files. Seconded by Schott. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve the agreement with the <br />Village of Shoreview for Judicial Ditch cleaning and to authorize the <br />Mayor and Clerk to execute the same. Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney presented a Resolution regarding the extension <br />of Water and Sewer services on proposed Silver Lake Road. <br />Motion by Rusted to adopt Resolution} #'_17O Seconded by Schott. <br />5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to pay bills totaling $3,255.20. <br />Seconded by Hodges. <br />5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to approve licenses. (List Attached) <br />Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Hodges to refund dog license fee to Arnold Freese <br />244 Pinewood Drive as dog has died before license was actually due. <br />seconded by Rusted. 5 Ayes. <br />At the direction of the Council, Mr. Skiba will work closely <br />i'.ntil further notice, with the sewer contractors, investigating and <br />attempting to satisfy all complaints and acting as a public relations <br />man, in regards to the projects as well as acting as an unofficial <br />for the Village. During this time Mr. Johnson will be in <br />charge of the Water Department Duties. <br />The Council decided that water used by the sewer contractors <br />'tll be charged for by the truck load. <br />Mr. Blanchard is to advertise for a clerk typist for the <br />Village Office. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />,This is to be a new position.) <br />Motion by Blanchard that the cost of a water extension at <br />'_:elide Park will be divided equally between the Lakeside Park Commission <br />.nd the Village of Spring Lake Park and the Village of Mounds View. <br />Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />
