-4 <br />C Al25 <br />Motion by La Vaque to reduce the water bill for Paul <br />Hoffman, 7767 Long Lake Road to the six dollar. minimum. <br />Seconded by Hodges. 4 Ayes. Motion Carried. <br />Trustee La Vaque reported that a Certificate of Safety <br />from the Water Works Association was received. <br />Mr. La Vaque reported on the excessive amount of breaking <br />of the warning markers and the vandalism regarding the sewer project. <br />Trustee Schott read a letter from the Ramsey County Engineer <br />stating that last year Mounds View Village used 4 tons of sand per <br />while all other Villages only used one ton per mile for <br />sanding their streets last winter. Mr. Sullivan, former Trustee, <br />who was in charge of the street maintenance last year, stated that <br />last winter the foreman was.given permission to order out sanding <br />crews. Trustee Rustad stated he was dissatisfied with the results <br />of last years street sanding. Trustee Schott said he would use <br />other methods. Trustee Schott reported on the repairing of the <br />streets in the C -1 C -3 areas and that Knollwood Drive, the worst <br />one, had been repaired. <br />Mr. Edmond requested information about a street lighting <br />ordinance. Mr. Skiba requested an ordinance on Air Conditioning. <br />Engineer Boehm explained the progress of the Sanitary <br />Sewer Construction. Engineer Boehm presented and explained the <br />following change orders: 2, Schedule A, 1 Schedule B, and <br />1 Schedule C. <br />Motion by Hodges to approve change order 2, Schedule A <br />by adding $2,475..00 to the contract lump sum. This is for tight <br />sheeting on Sherwood Road and Jackson Drive. Seconded by Rustad. <br />4 Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Motion by La Vaque to approve change order 1, Schedule B. <br />RE to construct a cleanout manhole on the 8" C.I.F.M. on Edgewood <br />at Bronson Drive. This manhole was added to the contract at the <br />request of the State Board of Health. Addition to the contract of <br />$475.00. Seconded by Rustad. 4 Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Motion by Hodges to approve change order 1, Schedule C. <br />To apply S.C. liquid asphalt material on streets in Mounds View <br />at the rate of 19 cents per gallon where sewer and drainage lines <br />have been constructed. Seconded by Schott. 4 Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Engineer Boehm submitted a report on the proposed relocation <br />of State Trunk Highway 10 across the Northeast corner of Mounds <br />View. He suggested that prior to signing an agreement for construction <br />with the Minnesota Highway Department the Village should consider <br />several items pertaining to the land involved; Sanitary Sewer and <br />Water Improvements and Village streets affected. The Council directed. <br />the Engineer to check with the Highway Department for a meeting to <br />resolve answers to these problems. (at the next agenda meeting if <br />possible.) <br />Attorney Meyers asked the Council to consider asking the <br />Highway Department to move the proposed 10 further North because <br />of the complications of their present plans. <br />
