-2- <br />030042 <br />The excellent cooperation of Mr. Skiba and Mr. Gross in the <br />matter of pumping of excess water in the past weeks was brought up <br />7y Mr. La Vaque. These men have worked long hours without complaints <br />to ease a number of difficult situations. <br />Motion by La Vaque to allow Troop and Post 400, B.S.A. the <br />use of the village hall parking lot on May 1, 1965 for the purpose <br />of conducting a car wash. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />The matter of the Nordling Terrace sub division was discussed <br />and the following action taken: <br />Motion by Rusted to rezone the East of the Northeast of the <br />Northwest of Section 8, Township 30, Range 23, except the North 390 <br />feet thereof, and except the East 33 feet thereof, from R -1A to R -3 <br />as requested, conditioned on the receipt and approval of a building <br />permit. Seconded by La Vaque. 4 Aues. <br />Mr. Charles Jackson, Civil Defense Director reported that the <br />Edgewood Jr. High Shelter area was now completely stocked. <br />Mr. Jackson also reported that the Civil Defense unit is now <br />on a standby basis for flood service and will probably be called out <br />near the end of the week. <br />The Engineer presented final plans and specifications for <br />Sanitary Sewer Projectl965 -3, the Hillview area lateral project. <br />Motion by Blanchard to accept the final plans and specs for Sanitary <br />Sewer Project 1965 -3. Seconded by Malvin. 4 Ayes. <br />Motion by Rustad to authorize the Clerk and Engineer to <br />advertise for bids on Sanitary Sewer Project 1965 -3. with bid closing <br />date to be 6:30 P.M. on Monday, May 17, 1965. Seconded by La Vaque. <br />4 Ayes. <br />A supplement to the preliminary water report was presented <br />by the Engineer for Council study. <br />A letter from Comstock and Davis, Inc. regarding the bidder <br />on the Maintenance Building was read and filed. <br />Motion by Malvin to concur with the Village Engineers recommenda- <br />tion and award the bid for Sanitary Sewer Project 1965 -2 (maint. bldg.) <br />to the Gene Wagner Construcgion Company, low bidder. Amount of base <br />bid was $97,865.00, plus $7,000 for alternate 1, brick facing. <br />Alternate 1 is included as part of this award. Seconded by Rustad <br />4 Ayes. <br />A letter from Comstock and Davis, Inc. regarding the layout <br />of St. Stephens Street was received and filed, and developers of the <br />area wezeinfo40ed of charges required before they could receive <br />approval of their plot plan. <br />The Attorney gave a brief report on the Fire Prevention Code <br />Ordinance and was directed to prepare an ordinance adopti.00_s?me: <br />The Attorney brought up several points in regards to the use <br />of a village street by the Village of Spring Lake Park for their sewer <br />line and was directed to meet with their Attorney to prepare the <br />necessary agreements. <br />
