PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />The regular meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Hodges at 8:00 P.M. on July 12, 1965 at <br />2401 Highway 10. <br />Present Were: <br />Mayor: <br />Clerk: <br />Trustee: <br />Also Present: <br />Attorney: <br />Engineer: <br />Fiscal Agent: <br />Adm. Boog <br />Walter Skiba <br />Motion by Rustad to approve minutes of June 28, 1965 as <br />presented. Seconded by La Vaque. <br />Motion by Rustad to approve minutes of July 6, 1965 as <br />presented. Seconded by Hodges. <br />A letter from the N.S.S.S.D. sewer board regarding the <br />RESIDENTIAL EQUIVILENT CONNECTION charges to other than private homes <br />was read and filed. <br />5 Ayes. <br />5 Ayes. <br />A letter requesting a road improvement project was read and filed. <br />Motion by Malvin to instruct the Engineer to prepare preliminary <br />plans for a street improvement project on Arden Avenue (extended) between <br />Long Lake Road and Eastwood Road. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to set a Public Hearing on Arden Avenue <br />Improvement (above) and direct the Clerk to cause notices to be <br />printed and mailed as required. Hearing will be August 9, 1965 at 9:00 <br />P.M. Seconded by Hodges. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Hodges to allow Comstock and Davis, Inc. to do <br />survey work for Clarence Nordstrom, 8205 Eastwood Road. (Subdivision) <br />Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />The B and E Patrol report for June was received and filed. <br />The Police Report for June was read and filed. <br />The Road and sewer reports were given by Mr. La Vaque. <br />In regards to a residents request, the Clerk reported that the <br />County Entomologist had stated that since the expected infestation <br />would be light, no spraying for canker worms would be needed this year. <br />The weed inspector was directed to investigate a possible <br />violation at 5323 Clifton. <br />Mr. Charles Jackson, Civil Defense Director, reported that the <br />C.D. Truck formerly used by Roseville was now a part of the Mounds View <br />Civil Defense program and was being inventoried. <br />
