-2- <br />The Engineer and Attorney reported on the bids on Sanitary <br />Sewer Project 1965 -3 Schedule B. <br />Motion by La Vaque to accept the low bid of Northern Contracting <br />in the amount of 5325,000.00 for Sanitary Sewer Project 1965 -3, Schedule <br />B. (with the recommendation of the Engineer and Attorney.) <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney reported that the difference in bids between the <br />above one and the original on May 17 by Lametti and Sons, Inc. was <br />$47,998.50 and this should be the amount of loss or damage to the Village. <br />Motion by Blanchard to authorize the Attorney to collect under <br />the terms of the contract, from Lametti and Sons, Inc. the full amount <br />of the damages in the matter of the bid received on May 17, 1965 for <br />Sanitary Sewer Project 1965 -3, Schedule B in behalf of the Village. <br />Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />The Attorney announced that the Sanitary Sewer Ordinance would <br />be discussed at the next agenda meeting and acted on at the next <br />regular meeting. <br />The first preliminary estimate of costs for tornado debris <br />removal was received from Mr. Herbst and it amounted to approximately <br />559,000.00. <br />Motion by Rustad to adopt Resolutio #20i )(regarding lot splits <br />and assessment divisions) Seconded by B anchar 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Rustad to adopt Ordinance 127 (Simons Rezoning) <br />Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by Blanchard to adopt Ordinance 128'(Pure Oil Rezoning) <br />Seconded by La Vaque. 5 Ayes. <br />Motion by La Vaque to allow a variance to the building code <br />for Mr. Overgaauw 2274 Knoll Drive, permitting a 6 foot side yard <br />set back. Variance will be 4 feet. Seconded by Malvin. 5 Ayes. <br />At 9:00 P.M. the Mayor opened the Public Hearing on C -1 and C -3 <br />Sanitary Sewer Improvement proposal. <br />The Attorney read the legal notice and the Clerk stated that <br />the notices had been published and mailed according to statues. <br />Mr. Meyers stated the reasons for the hearing and the avenues <br />that would be followed by the Council after the hearing. <br />The Engineer showed on the map and explained the C -1 and C -3 <br />boundaries as set by the Council and explained the estimated cost <br />of the improvement. <br />A general discussion followed and many questions were raised <br />and answered. <br />One person, Mr. Sorum, stated that he had received no notice <br />on the hearing. <br />
