2 <br />M /S /t (Walser /Lang) To approve payment to C.S. McCrossan by-check <br />number 1831 representing the final estimates on projects 1966 -4, <br />1966 -5, 1966 -6, and 1966 -8 and to enter into the one year warranty <br />agreements on these projects. 4 Ayes <br />M/S/P (Walser /Rustad) To authorize the treasurer to transfer <br />$40,000.00 from the Bond redemption account to the Sewer Utility <br />account. 4 Ayes <br />The Mayor opened the Rezoning hearing on the Gillespie property at <br />8:30 Y.M. <br />Clerk Walser read the official notice and attested to its publication <br />and to the notification of property owners within 250 feet of the <br />property to be rezoned. <br />Mr. Gillespie explained tis purpose in requesting R1A to B3 rezoning <br />was to allow him to sell used cars on his property as a part time job. <br />Resident (Robert Larson, 7960 Fairchild) spoke against the proposed <br />use of the property. <br />'esident (Arnold Scholl'argerdes, 7950 Fairchild) spoke against the <br />1rosed use of the property. <br />Resident (LeRoy Tauer, 980 Fairchild) spoke against the proposed <br />use of the property. <br />Resident (Elmer Trefelb2n, 7985 Fairchild) spoke against the proposed <br />rezoning. Car testing in the area would be a safety hazard. <br />Resident (Jim Gable, 7934 Fairchild) spoke against the rezoning, <br />aiting problems in ever reselling the property as a private reside. <br />and the possibility of a very undesireable commercial operation <br />buying the property. <br />Mayor Rustad called for objections. <br />Mr. Gillespie commented on other business use in the immediate area, <br />and general business use of property along Highway #10. <br />Mr. Robert Larson questioned the effect of reduced traffic when <br />Highway #10 is rerouted. Trustee Malvin commented that studies <br />show heavier traffic by that time even with #10 rerouted. Mr. <br />Gable commented again on the eventual use of the property. Mr. <br />Chuck Larsen commented on the unfairness of discriminating against <br />one parcel of land. <br />Mayor Rustad called for objections. <br />The hearing was closed at 8:40 Y.M. <br />Rayor Rustad reviewed the rezoning and stated that he opposes it. <br />Clerk 'Walser reviewed considerations and stated that he opposes it. <br />
