Mr. Arnold Aker suggested that apartments are better looking than stores. <br />Another resident stated that he prefers apartments to stores. <br />Another resident questioned duplexes over apartments. <br />Another resident questioned zoning across the road (it is commercial) and <br />felt he would object to apartments near his home. <br />No further objections. <br />The hearing was closed at 8:50 P.M. <br />The Mayor said the Planning Commission has approved the rezoning. <br />M /S/ (Malvin /Lag) To rezone the property conditionally subject to <br />application and building permit and street easements. <br />Trustee Malvin withdrew his motion individuals concerned will first work <br />out a satisfactory route for the road. <br />The Mayor requested that the other participants act by the next council <br />meeting. <br />An airport resolution urging no building closer than between. 242 or Main <br />Street was presented. <br />The Mayor appointed Mr, Werner as chairman of a citizens group to seek <br />petition signers against the airport proposals. Robert Knight will <br />assist and then report at the next meeting. <br />Clerk Walser urged no action on the resolution now or else amending it <br />to read further north than the Main Street site. <br />Mayor Rustad announced a petition would be in the village office for <br />signing. The paper will publish the notice. <br />We will need all details worked out before the April 22 hearing. <br />M /S /P (Walser/Rustad) To approve Garbage Collectors licenses for <br />Gallagher's Service, Inc., Fridley Sanitation. Suburban Pick -Up Service, <br />and J W Pick -Up Service. 5 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Walser /Johnson) To approve payment of bills as represented by <br />checks numbered 2248 2283 (general), 1081 and 1082 (bond) and 157 184, <br />check 161 voided (payroll). 5 Ayes <br />Malvin suggested action on the drainage problem on Long Lake between Hillview <br />and Sherwood Road. The Engineer will write a letter to the county. <br />The problem with the Raymond lift station connections was discussed. The <br />mobile home park should be billed but we will do the work. <br />Trustee Malvin thanked the Engineer for the presentation that resulted in <br />the village grant and also thanked the Mayor. <br />Trustee Johnson read the police report for February. <br />
