The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Acting Mayor Malvin at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 13, 1970, at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Acting Mayor Malvin <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Blanchard <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Absent: <br />of Players <br />Net Revenue <br />Cost to 3uild <br />Mayor Rusted <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />July 13, 1970 <br />18 Hole <br />50- 55,000 <br />50,000 <br />$590,000 <br />General Construction, Landscape <br />Wells, Tanks (2) <br />Architects Fees <br />Planning <br />Maintenance Building <br />Club House <br />Equipment <br />Club House Equipment <br />Course Hardware <br />Maintenance Expense <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylia <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />MSP (Blanchard/Neisen) To approve the minutes of June 22, 1970 corrected to <br />read "starting salary of Larry Ducheine to be $658.00 per month plus $30.00 4 Ayes <br />Residents Requests and Comments <br />Robert Glazer, Pat .+ubrud of Ehlers and Associates and John Herford, a golf <br />course architect, were in attendance to discuss the recommendation of the golf <br />course study committee. The committee found that the soil and terrain were well <br />suited for a golf course, adequate drainage existed, and the location was favorable. <br />The committee looked at average traffic density of other courses and gross and net <br />revenues. <br />9 Hole <br />20- 25,000 <br />20,000 <br />$400,000 <br />Mr. Glazer requested that if the Council was favorable they move to have Attorney <br />Meyers take an option on the property and also instruct Ehlers and Associates do <br />a full financial feasibility study. Mr. Glazer stressed that this is the last <br />big piece of land available in the community. <br />Mr. Gubrud spoke of this being the time for the financial feasibility study. <br />Mr. Herford stressed that the proposal tonight was for a 9 hole course with planning <br />for an 18 hold course. He felt the other 9 holes could follow in 2 3 years. <br />Mr. Herford outlined the costs for an 18 hole course noting that certain items <br />would be less for a 9 hole. <br />$225,000 <br />40,000 <br />20,000 <br />20,000 <br />12,000 <br />55,000 <br />20,000 <br />5,000 <br />3,000 <br />25,000 <br />
