PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA October 26, 1970 The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor Rustad a 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 26, 1970, at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Present: Mayor Rustad Councilman Malvin Councilman Hodges Councilman Blanchard Councilman Nelsen Also Present: Clerk Administrator Zylla Attorney Meyers Engineer Boehm MSP (Blanchard/Mal.vin) To approve the minutes of October 12, 1970. 5 Ayes lam, or Ruustad' a Report Mayor Rusted read the Planning Commission minutes of October 20th. MSP (Malvin /Hodges) To approve the subdivision request of Tollef Olson, 8165 Eastwood Road, to divide the N 101.25 feet of the S 506.25 feet of the E 528 feet of W 2112 feet of the NW 1/4 of Section 6 into the West 300 feet and the East 228 feet thereof subject to granting a 30 foot highway easement on the East. 5 Ayes MSP (Malvin Hodges) To direct Attorney Meyers to draw up a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance reducing the lot size requirements from 85 feet to 75 feet and 10,000 feet on an interior lot and 100 to 90 feet and 11,000 feet on a corner lot. Set back requirement on side yard to go to 10 and 5 on garage side. 5 Ayes Clerk Administrator Zvllats Report MSP (Hodges/Neisen) To approve the following license: General Contractor Victor Loeffler Cont. MSP (Blanchard/Malvin) To approve the following bills: General checks #4575 -4602 and Payroll checks #1711 -1738. Total disbursements $8,423.84. 5 Ayes MSP (Rustad/Neisen) To declare water available for Project 1968 -3 Schedule C allowing six months for persons now served to connect to the municipal system without incurring a $100 late hook up charge. 5 Ayes Clerk .Administrator Zylla announced that a check for $701.25 was received from the State of Minnesota for 50% reimbursement for a new radar unit. Councilman Malvin's Report Councilman Malvin commented on the need for street lights in certain areas of the village due to high vandalism. The police department is to present a written report. Councilman Malvin also stated that something must be done to rid the intersection of County Road H and Old #8 of the large amount of water that stands there after a rain. A traffic hazard exists as is. 5 Ayes
