Mr. Vern Sinderson, 7975 Fairchild, said he obtained the petition for proposed <br />Sunnyside unaware of the storm sewer. He felt he had a right to try for development. <br />Mr. Allen Idecker, 8340 Red Oak Drive, said there is no water problem as yet. <br />Mr. L. A. Brogger, 8316 Spring Lake Road, also said there was no water problem. <br />Mr. Russ Pederson, 8335 Groveland Road, felt it just meant going deeper into debt. <br />Mr. Paul Brandvold, 8380 Eastwood Road, said that natural drainage seemed sufficient. <br />Mr. Frank Gaybrish, 2088 County Road J, believed there was no water problem. <br />Mrs. Marvin Schlutter, 8312 Spring Lake Road, said there never has been a drainage <br />problem. <br />Mr. Thomas Harris, 8310 Eastwood Road, also felt there was no drainage problem. <br />Mr. Leroy Johnson, 8336 Spring Lake Road, said only a few people would benefit. <br />Mr. Thomas Silvas, a petitioner, stated that he had a right to request the <br />improvement since he is paying taxes on his land. <br />Mr. Donald Balk, 2290 County Road J, was against proposed Sunnyside and storm sewer. <br />Mrs. Carl Morawski, 8432 Groveland Road, stated she liked the swamp in her back yard. <br />Mayor Rustad accepted petitions from the floor against the improvement. <br />Mayor Rustad closed the hearing at 10:04 P.M. <br />3 <br />After Council discussion it was determined that the vote should reflect approval <br />of baileys Hillview Addition, Random Addition, and Red Oak Estates but the <br />remainder of the proposal should be defeated at this time, for reasons of higher <br />taxes and general concern for the economic situation. <br />Councilman Blanchard commented on the quandry faced, of either expanding this portion <br />of the Village or driving persons to far higher costs. <br />Councilman Johnson felt that at some time in the future the storm sewer would be <br />installed. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To order sanitary sewer, water, and street improvement <br />Project 1971 -1 to include Daileys Hillview Addition, Random First Addition and <br />Red Oak Estates deleting storm sewer in the area bounded by County Road J, Long <br />Lake Road, Ardan Avenue, and the West Corporate limit, deleting utility extensions <br />on proposed Knollwood and proposed Sunnyside from Ardan to County Road J, deleting <br />utility extensions on Ardan from Groveland to County Road J, and Ardan from <br />Eastwood to Red Oak. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To order the engineer to prepare final plans and <br />specifications for Improvement Project 1971 -1. <br />MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To adjourn at 10:17 P.M. <br />R spectfully Submitted, <br />Dennis S.
