Mr. Smith requested a copy of the Village Council minutes. Attorney Meyers requested <br />copy of the Mobil Oil plot plan to which Mr. Smith replied "you will see the plans when <br />see you in court <br />Clerk Administrator Zylla's Report (Cont'd) <br />MSP (Hodges Baumgartner) To approve the $250,000 assignment of securities agreement with <br />the First State Bank of New Brighton. 5 Ayes <br />Clerk Zylla read a copy of a letter sent to Century Motor Freight from the PCA in which <br />the PCA voiced no objections to Century Motor Freight discharges provided certain conditions <br />are met. <br />Clerk Zylla announced that the bond proceeds from the #385,000 temporary improvement bond <br />sale will be deposited in our account on Tuesday. <br />Clerk Zylla announced that several communities have been contacted and asked to pass <br />resolutions similar to Mounds View Resolution No. 584 opposing the Metropolitan Council's <br />possible acquisition and extension of New Brighton's trunk sewer. He stated that Fridley, <br />Coon Rapids, Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Lexington and Circle Pines have all either passed <br />resolutions or mailed letters expressing opposition. The Referral Committee staff report <br />which will be acted upon this Thursday recommends against acquisition. <br />Councilman Hodges'Report <br />euncilman Hodges inquired of the Council whether they had received copies of the Ramsey <br />!ounty League recommendation to abolish justice courts. Some Council members had not <br />received the information. <br />Councilman Johnson's Report <br />Councilman Johnson reported that the Village maintenance truck (1972 Chevrolet 3/4 ton) <br />has been repaired and returned to the Village. The truck had been damaged in an accident <br />in which a Village employee was found not at fault. Total cost of the accident including <br />truck rental was $1,182.02. <br />Councilman Johnson reported that he received a request for street lights at Rainbow Lane <br />and Ridge Lane and mid -block on Rainbow Lane South of Ridge Lane. Mayor Neisen suggested <br />we delay approval until the overall plan for the newly platted area is received from our <br />Northern States Power representative. <br />Councilman Johnson read a letter from Fire Chief Fagerstrom in which he requested $2,125.00 <br />from the communities served by the Spring Lake Park Fire Department to replace items <br />previously deleted from his budget. Mounds View's payment would be $650.00 and could be <br />paid from the Federal Revenue Sharing Fund. <br />MSP (Johnson- Baumgartner) To approve the additional expenditure of $650.00 for the <br />equipment requested by Fire Chief Fagerstrom, subject to the approval of Blaine and <br />Spring Lake Park for their share of the total requested. <br />euncilman Johnson read a brief report of the Public Works Department's activities that <br />ave been performed since summer. <br />-5- <br />5 Ayes <br />
