when sanitary sewer went in and the houses were built in 1969 and 1970. Conrad Dumke -of -8045 Greenwood Drive wanted proof that his lot drained into the area. He said his lot drains south. He inquired if the map could be challenged since it was an old map and not a new survey map. Mayor Neisen commented that this was purely an informational hearing. If he wanted a water drainage survey to see where his lot drains, they would have to make a new map, This would cost money. So far no money has been expended. Bill Frits of 8072 Long Lake Road inquired what purpose was being served by the catch basin at the southwest corner of Long Lake Road and Sherwood'Road. He said the grade level of the road was changed in 1967 or 1968 when Long Lake Road was paved and the drainage changed to a northerly flow instead of a southerly flow. Mayor Neisen defended Engineer Bearden in that he had only served as Village Engineer since April and was not familiar with happenings several years ago. Paul Fedor, Sr. of 8030 Long Lake Road stated that a new highway would be going in, in the near future and perhaps all their planning now would be changed. Mayor Neisen stated it may affect the flow north of County Road J. John Piciorek of 8065 Eastwood Road inquired as to how many homes had made complaints. Mayor Neisen replied three homes. Mayor Neisen again explained that this was just an informational hearing and no assessments would be put on this evening. Mr. Hansen a resident of Fridley, but speaking for Nellie Domeier stated that she had no problem. Mayor Neisen explained that some part of each property owners land drains into this area. Mrs. Nordstrom of 8050 Greenwood Drive wondered why they should be burdened when these people chose to build where they did, why a house 5 feet from them would have problems. Mayor Neisen answered it could be the contour of the land. Duane McCarty of 8060 Long Lake Road stated he had no water problems and he lives close to the ditch. He wondered if he would be assessed or not. He doesn't want to pay for other peoples problems and asked why a building permit was issued in the first place if there are water problems in the area. Gordon Barnes of 8031 Greenwood Drive wondered why the builder wasn't told the water table when he applied for a permit to build. Robert Pearson, 2415 Sherwood Road said there were two things that bothered him. There is no assurance the problem will be clearal up if this were done and it bothered him that the whole village wasn't included. Why are just these in this area singled out?
