Administrator
Zylia read ePerpts from the Planning Commission minutes of November 1973, December
1973, and February 1974 which deal with the property in question. He noted that the
west 1/2 of Lot 9 was owned by the City of Mounds View and had constructed on it a
municipal well and filtration plant.
The administrator read a memorandum prepared by Midwest Planning and Research dated
January 30, 1974 which stated that the property was spot zoned, that the area would
tend to become increasingly residential verses commercial, that the zoning is in
conflict with the development objectives as outlined in the Comprehensive Plan of
1959 which called for commercial clustering along Highway #10 and discouraging of
strip commercial, and that increased traffic volumn on Silver Lake Road and Groveland
Road would pose potential safety hazards.
Mayor Neisen called for comments in favor or against the rezoning.
5 Ayes
Ayes
Ayes''
