-3- <br />February 10, 1975 <br />MSP (Pickar- Hodges) To approve the licenses: General Contractor <br />Lee Holthans, Construction Coordinator for Bridgeman's; Sign Billboard <br />Triad Sign Company; Heating F, Air Conditioning-- Buck's Sheet Metal; <br />Cigarettes at Retail Tom Thumb Superette #110; Non Intoxicating Liquor <br />"Off Sale" Tom Thumb Superette #110; Solicitor Peddler Cub Scout <br />Pack 167. <br />MSP (Pickar Baumgartner) To waive the license fee for Cub Scout Pack 167. <br />Administrator Achen read the bids for the automatic sprinkler system which <br />were opened at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 1975: <br />Industrial Sprinkler Corporation $4,707.00 <br />Axel Newman Heating 4 Plumbing $6,000.00 <br />Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. $5,325.00 <br />United Sprinkler $4,640.00 <br />Eagle Automatic Fire Protection Co. $4,440.00 <br />Sunrise Fire Protection Co. $5,110.00 <br />Midwest Fire Protection Co. $5,175.00 <br />Mr. Glen Gausman, consulting engineering for Walijarvi F, Associates, stated <br />that there is a considerable difference in the prices between the January 7th <br />and February 7th bid openings. He feels Eagle Automatic is a competent <br />company with a good reputation although he has had no direct association with <br />them in the past. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson Shelquist) to recommend the bid be let to Eagle Automatic with <br />the proviso that this amount offset against the retained architect's fee. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Johnson asked the clerk to inform the architect of the bid award <br />and direct the architect to confirm the bid to Eagle Automatic so they <br />can begin work as soon as possible. <br />Administrator Achen presented the 1974 delinquent utility accounts for <br />which meter deposits are to be confiscated. <br />MSP (Hodges Pickar) to so confiscate meter deposits tc pay these 1974 <br />delinquent accounts. 5 X/“ 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges-Pickar) to appoint the First National Bank of St. Paul as <br />paying agent for the City for Improvement Bond of 1974 in accordance with <br />Resolution No. 650. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges Baumgartner) to authorize the ,Mayor and Clerk to execute the <br />paying agent agreement. 5 Ayes <br />Administrator Achen presented the proposed agreement with the State for <br />the installat'an of signal lights at County Roads I and H2 at Highway 10. <br />Engineer Bearden explained the formula used by the State in determining <br />the cost of the signals. Where there are two state or two county legs as <br />the case is on County Road I and Highway 10, the agreement between the <br />State and County is that the State requests the County to pay for relamping, <br />painting of lights and power. The County in turn is trying to transfer <br />some of the cost to the local communitie such as Mounds View. <br />Councilman Baumgartner asked what the cost would be if we have to bring <br />the utility service to the lights. <br />
