Total disbursements S117,219.81. MSP (Johnson- Shelquist) to accept the licenses, General Contracting Sanders Concrete Contracting Co., The Rottlund Company, Inc., Masonry Dennis Golia Const.; Sign Installation Nordquist Sign Co. Inc.; Heating A/C Advanced Heating and A /C, Denny's Plumbing, Boehm Heating Co., Gas Installer Denny's Mobilehome Service Blacktop Buck's Blacktop, Kennel! Sham -O -Jet Kennels; Solicitor Children's Theatre, waiving the fee for the Children's Theatre. Mayor Johnson acknowledged receipt of the Police Report for August. Mayor Johnson announced he would be attending a meeting tomorrow at noon. Subject: joint bargaining for police contract. All municipal mayors and city managers are gathering to discuss doing away with joint bargaining. COUNCILMAN BAUMGARTNER'S REPORT Councilman Baumgartner reported the Park and Recreation Commission met on August 28, 1975 and is beginning work on a five year capital improvement plan and priority development. A meeting will be held September 11, 1975 to further discuss the capital improvment program. School pool management program has been officially approved by the school board. Councilman Baumgartner asked Mayor. Johnson to solicit for volunteers to form a committee to prepare a trail systems plan and ask that those interested contact the City office. Mayor Johnson asked an article be written inviting anyone interested in serving on trails committee to send their names to the attention of the City Council so it may be referred to the Park Recreation Commission. Councilman Baumgartner reported that he attended a meeting last week at the Ramsey CountySheriff's office regarding establishing trains for bikes, snowmobile, jogging etc., with emphasis on a uniform snowmobile ordinance within the County. Councilman Baumgartner is to be on the ordinance writing committee. County and D N R funds are available for the trail systems. Funds for patrolling, grooming, etc., and in order to get funds you must have a committee. Councilman Baumgartner said both he and the Park Director received calls from citizens commenting on the new playground equipment at Hillview Park. The residents were pleased with the new eluipment, However, the speed limit on Long Lake Road at 40 MPH poses a potential hazard with the number of children who frequent the playground. it was suggested a four way stop sign he installed at the corner of Long Lake Road and Hillview Road. 4 Ayes 4 Ayes
