General Fund checks #11643 11703, Payroll Account checks #1225- <br />1229, Payroll checks 3183 3218, Transfer check 11700, transferring <br />$13,881.57 from General Fund, $1,011.26 from Water Fund, $1,605.60 <br />from Sewer Fund to pay gross pay of 12/30/75. Total Disbursements <br />$54,246.46. <br />MSP (Baumgartner Shelquist) that the bills be approved as presented. <br />5 ayes <br />ADMINISTRATOR ACHEN'S REPORT <br />Administrator Achen read the memorandum from the Park Director <br />regarding the cost of improvements at Greenfield Park, which was <br />more than estimated. <br />Mayor Johnson moved that the recommendation of the Park Director <br />regarding the improvement of the Greenfield Park ditch be accepted <br />with the additional request for expenditure out of revenue sharing <br />1975. of $954. This motion was seconded by Councilman Hodges. <br />Councilman Shelquist said that everytime we overrun I don't think <br />we should go into revenue sharing. He suggested taking it out <br />of the excess "$3000.` Mayor Johnson agreed. <br />Councilman Pickar also agreed with this. Councilman Baumgartner <br />felt that the Park Director had made an estimate to the best of his <br />ability and would prefer it taken from revenue sharing. <br />Councilman Shelquist moved that the motion be amended to read that <br />the expenditure of $950 be made first out of 1975 budget surplus <br />to the extent that they are available at the end of the year and that <br />the remainder be taken from the revenue fund. This motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Pickar and a roll call vote was requested. <br />Councilman Shelquist aye <br />Councilman Pickar aye <br />Councilman Baumgartner aye <br />The amendment carried. Mayor Johnson <br />main motion, as amended. <br />COUNCILMAN PICKAR'S REPORT. <br />Councilman Hodges aye <br />Mayor Johnson aye <br />now requested a vote on the <br />The Human Rights meeting was on December 10 and Joan Godeke resigned <br />as chairperson. Russ Christenson will be the chairman for 1976. <br />The Human Rights Department would very much like to get involved and <br />the new chairman will work on this. He also stated that the Lakeside <br />Park Commission meeting was held December 11. <br />5 ayes <br />Administrative Achen also stated, that with Council approval, the <br />legal requirements of designating the legal newspaper, official <br />newspaper and acting mayor can be performed on January 5, 1976, and, <br />further that the office hours for Wednesday, December 24, be changed <br />from l :00 to 4:30. Both of these items met with Council approval. <br />Mr. Achen also mentioned that the State Highway Department has seheduled <br />an informational meeting on the proposed Crosstown Highway Monday, <br />January 12, 1976, at 1:00 pm in the State Highway Bldg. <br />
