February 28, 1977 Page 5 <br />Councilmember Hodges asked Admin. Achen to set up a system <br />for feedback to councilmembers and citizens with complaints. <br />He would like the complainant and the councilmember who takes <br />the complaint to be informed of the action taken by staff; perhaps <br />a letter would be best. <br />Councilmember Hodges also asked Admin. Achen to check with <br />Ramsey County to find out when they would put the pump on in <br />Lakeside Park, as it seems to be quite low. <br />Councilmember Hodges mentioned that he and Admin. Achen had <br />attended the LMC Legislative Conference and commented on <br />several of the bills discussed unemployment compensation, <br />uniform local government election years. <br />Mayor Pickar stated that last Thursday he signed a proclamation <br />designating March as Minuteman Month, an effort to inform citizens <br />of the role the national guard plays in the community, as well as its <br />state obligations. <br />Mayor Pickar also commented on the well conducted Vietnamese <br />new year celebration at the Bel Rae Ballroom. He would <br />welcome the activity again. <br />Council discussion on dedication of the city sign was set aside <br />for an upcoming agenda session at which time a date will be <br />decided upon. <br />Councilmember Ziebarth brought to the attention of the Council <br />a pamphlet put out by the Defense Civil Preparedness Agency <br />entitled "Protecting Mobile Homes From High Winds It was <br />suggested that the Boy Scout Troop deliver several copies of <br />the pamphlet to the various mobile home courts office buildings. <br />Mayor Pickar stated that the Annual Appreciation Dinner for the <br />City would be held March 5th at the Bel Rae Ballroom. The dinner <br />committee is planning presentations to various persons and <br />organizations who have donated items to the city and community <br />in general and to staff persons with 10 or more years of service. <br />MSP (Baumgartner Ziebarth) to adjourn at 8 :25 PM. 5 ayes <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Mark Achen <br />Clerk- Administrator <br />
