Members present: Also present: <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A special meeting of the Mounds View City Council was called to <br />order by Acting Mayor Hodges at 7:13 PM on January 2, 1979, at <br />the Mounds View City Hall, 2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, Minnesota <br />55112. <br />Acting Mayor Hodges <br />Councilmember Rowley <br />Councilmember Ziebarth <br />Clerk- Administrator Achen <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Acting Mayor Hodges introducer Notary Public Sr. Accounting Clerk <br />Dorothy Sandgren to administer the oath of office to newly elected <br />Councilmembers and Mayor. <br />Mrs. Sandgren administered oaths to Councilmember Donald Hodges, <br />Councilmembc_ Charlotte Forslund and Mayor Duane McCarty. <br />Acting Mayor Hodges turned the meeting over to Mayor McCarty. <br />Bill Doty, 3049 Bronson Drive, asked whether this is a legally <br />called Council meeting. Mayor McCarty stated that it is. <br />MSP (Rowley Ziebarth) to postpone action on appointments to <br />various commissions until January 22, 1979, regular meeting. <br />MSP (Ziebarth Rowley) to amend motion to set a deadline of <br />January 17, 1979, for applications of persons interested in <br />appointment to the commission vacancies. <br />Councilmember Rowley requested that notice of commission vacancies <br />be published in the January filth issue of the New Brighton Bulletin <br />and notice placed on the Highway 10 sign. <br />Mayor McCarty indicated that he would be willing to fill the <br />liaison assignments of outgoing Mayor Pickar and that Councilmember. <br />Forslund has agreed to fill Councilmember Baumgartner's liaison to the <br />Planning Commission. <br />Councilmember Ziebarth suggested that before making liaison, <br />assignments Council should consider designating a Member to act <br />as liaison to Ramsey County. He suggested liaison assignments be <br />postponed until Council discusses these at a work sesE <br />Councilmember Hodges suggested a Member attend +.he Planning Commi °.sion <br />meetings in the interim.
