Mayor McCarty <br />Councilmember Hodges <br />Councilmember Rowley <br />Councilmember Ziebarth <br />Councilmember Forslund <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A regular meeting of the Mounds View City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor McCarty at 7:35 PM on March 12, 1979 at the Mounds View City <br />Hall, 2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, MN 55112. <br />Members Present: Also Present: <br />Acting Clerk- Administrator Anderson <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Councilmember Rowley asked that the minutes of the February 26, 1979 <br />meeting be changed on page 2 to read, in the last paragraph, 1960 rather <br />than 1060, and on page 7, seventh paragraph, Councilmember Rowley <br />rather than Councilmember Forslund. <br />MSP (Ziebarth Forslund) to approve the minutes of the February 26, 1979 <br />meeting as corrected. 5 ayes <br />CITIZENS COMMENTS AND REQUESTS <br />Jerry Linke, 2319 Knoll Drive stated that he would like to see the stop <br />sign at Greenfield and Hillview removed and asked if the City would consi- <br />der it. Councilmember Ziebarth replied that a number of calls have been <br />received, asking that the stop sign be removed, and that he would like <br />to find out from the neighborhood what problems it is creating and what <br />problems it is solving. <br />Mr. Linke stated that it was creating problems for him as he had slid <br />through it more than once. He also stated that many people were driving <br />right through the sign without stopping. Mayor McCarty replied that he <br />had spoken to the Police Chief, who had stated that the sign was not <br />permanent and that he would like to see how it worked during the summer. <br />Councilmember Ziebarth recommended discussing the item at an agenda <br />session once the snow has melted. <br />Bill Doty, 3049 Bronson Drive asked if the Council had spent 50 hours <br />discussing commission appointments. Mayor McCarty replied that they had <br />not. <br />APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA <br />Councilmember Rowley asked that items B, C and D be removed from the <br />consent agenda for discussion. <br />
