Hodges made the motion, seconded by Forslund to hold a public hearing September 10 at 7:40 PL for the vacation of Mustang Rd. west of existing Mustang Lane and proposed Mustang Circle. 5 ayes 0 nays MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting Page 3 August 13, 1979 Application was tabled at 7/23/79 meeting so Council could formulate a tine -line as to when they could address the issue of how this develop- ment will fit into the Comp. Plan for land use. Rose stated the plan for Dist. 2 was never officially adopted in any form. Council advised that developers may go through the application process, but while the Comp. Plan for land use is being updated, there is the possibility of a moratorium on development in certain areas. Applicant should be aware that, at one time, this area was selected for drainage for the City for Dist. 2 and whether they will ever use it or not is the problem for the City. No action is required until a signal comes from the applicant. Rowley requested Staff to have information on wetlands before the next agenda session. Citizens were asked to fill outthe "Citizen 7. HIGHWAY 10 UPDATE Comment" sheets, which are attached. Citizens with verbal comments were: R. Hedlund, 8424 Sunnyside Karl Sharon Croon, 8475 Eastwood Drive John Dies, 8280 Greenwood Sandra Ferris, Blaine Jack Berquist, 8370 Sunnyside Bob Hurley, 8315 Sunnyside Peg Mouutia, 8237 Redoak Drive Cindy Wenum, 8028 Redoak Drive A summary of comments is: Citizens are opposed to the north Hwy. 10 relocation route because of pollution -noise and environmental, resulting depreciation of homes, and Hwy. 10 becoming a main thoroughfare to the airport. Hedlund stated MnDOT advised him the City had not cooperated with them in holding neighborhood meetings. Nelson stated this was not true.
