MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 December 10, 1979 <br />6) Pointed out that the 3.2 liquor <br />license fee is high compared to other <br />communities. Ziebarth suggested Staff <br />should come up with a recommendation <br />based on those comparisons. <br />Hodges: 1) Stated the Youth Service <br />Bureau needs someone to fill his vacancy <br />since his term is expiring. Rowley said <br />she would be unable to consider it. <br />2) Asked Nelson if Maintenance prepared <br />a regular report; Nelson indicated he <br />could request it. <br />3) Gave report of his a tendance at the <br />League of Cities meeting. <br />Ziebarth: No report <br />McCarty: Asked about City Hall hours for <br />December 24 and 31. <br />McCarty moved that City Hall be open unti <br />noon on December 24 and 31. It was seconded <br />by Ziebarth. <br />The motion carried. <br />Th.' motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Nelson: Allied Blacktop The original <br />bill was $30,786.25 which the Council approved. <br />Their bill for $35,000 plus was received. <br />The Finance Director and Public Works Suptd. <br />have re- figured the project at $31,395.78, <br />which Allied will accept. Meyers stated this <br />is not an overcharge, but a standard contract <br />with an acceptable ad uritmc;:- <br />Ziebarth moved to approve the payment of the <br />additional $609.48 to Allied Blacktop Co. <br />for additional sealcoating materials. It <br />was seconded by Hodges. <br />5 ayes <br />The motion carried. 0 nays <br />Meyers stated he has been informed of a <br />Charter election contest. Pursuant to <br />Statute 209, a contest can be filed within <br />seven days. <br />Hodges moved to acknowledge the receipt of <br />a contest of election and pass on to the <br />City Attorney for action.
