MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />Page 3 <br />2) Asked if anyone was interested in attending <br />a meeting of the Fridley EQB Board Feb. 6 at <br />which a PCA representative will be speaking re: <br />noise control. <br />3) Requested registration for the League of Cities <br />Legislative Seminar Feb. 20, as she will be a <br />panelmember. <br />4) Asked Attorney Meyers what information he had <br />regarding Lakeside Park. Meyers explained steps <br />that could be taken in turning over the park to <br />the county- -his general recommendation is to <br />convey the park to Playground Inc. and then to <br />the county. Playground Inc. should be apprised <br />of the matter and then meet with Council. Staff <br />will send copies of the Attorney's opinion to <br />Spring Lake Park City Council and to Playground <br />Inc. <br />Ziebarth: 1) Reported a discussion with Commissioner <br />Orth re: Ramsey County Action program liaison. <br />2) Silver View Park -this subject will be coming <br />up in February. A possible timetable is: February 6 <br />Bruce Anderson will meet with Planning Commission <br />to update them; February 20 Planning Commission will <br />review the proposal with the developer; February 25 <br />Anderson will make a presentation to Council. <br />McCarty: 1) Reported a call from VFW to request a <br />Councilmember attend a meeting honoring two Mounds <br />View policemen. <br />2) Suggested that the Quarterly Report of the Dept. <br />Heads be done in two segments at the March 10 and <br />24 meetings. Nelson will work out a timeframe and <br />order of personnel appearance. <br />3) Commission Appointments: <br />McCarty moved that Marilynne Dennehy and Donna <br />Bowman be appointed as Park and Recreation Com- <br />missioners, term ending 12/31/82.
