4:. <br />MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 April 14, 1980 <br />The Council discussed a letter Mr. Fossen <br />had presented to them requesting a sign <br />for restricted parking be installed in this <br />area. (This matter was also discussed at <br />the March 10, 1980, City Council meeting.) <br />After a general discussion of the matter, <br />the Mayor requested Staff to write a note <br />to Mr. Fossen indicating that Council felt <br />the sign for restrict parking would not <br />rectify the situation, but that the matter <br />was being taken under advisement by the <br />Council. <br />Nelson stated that they be withdrawn from <br />discussion until April 28th at developers' <br />request. The developers have not been able <br />to get approval from Rice Creek because they <br />are missing two exhibits: 1) alteration of <br />wetlands, 2) exhibits relative to erosion <br />control. <br />Nelson announced that the Society for the <br />Blind in St. Paul were having an open house <br />on April 21st. If anyone wanted more infor- <br />mation on this, they could contact him. <br />Nelson announced the TRA consultants were <br />having an open house on May 3rd from 11:00 <br />a.m. 4:00 p.m. in the Blaine City Hall. <br />Information pertaining to the master plan <br />city will be on display and representative <br />will be available for assistance. <br />Rowley made a motion that staff be directed <br />to advertise for bids on a three wheel truck <br />ster on April 16th and 24th and to schedule <br />a bid opening for Monday, April 28, 1980, at <br />10:00 a.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. <br />Hodges seconded the motion. <br />The motion was carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Hodges made a motion that $1,600 be appro- <br />priated from contingency for satellite services <br />this summer in the Mounds View city parks and <br />that from now on this item be budgeted for each <br />year.
