MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting Page 6 April 14, 1980 Nelson reported that Metropolitan Transit is applying for federal urban funding and looking at an additional site in Moundsview (35W /Hwy. 10) for a "Park and Ride" area where people could park czars and take the bus.. The Council responded favorably to this proposal. Councilmember Rowley reported that the "garbage bill" looks like it will be vetoed by the governor. Rowley made a motion, seconded by Ziebarth to discuss this at a special meeting at 6:30 P.M. -7:00 P.M., April 21st. The motion was carried. 5 ayes 0 nays Councilmember Rowley asked to have the parking lot timer checked as it didn't always have light when it got dark in the lot. Councilmember Foralund had no reports. Councilmember Ziebarth expressed a thought that Bob Ehlers should be at the meeting with Wolfe and Associates on May 4th. Councilmember Ziebarth also noted information on the parks meetings. Two had already been held and two more were coming up on April 17 and April 19. He stressed the importance of the public having input at this time. Councilmember Hodges distributed copies of a flier for the clean -up day scheduled for April 26. A $10.00 charge for a pick of a load was generally approved, with a pro -rated price for smaller loads. The Mayor read the proclamation for Clean -up Day: "WHEREAS, we are all aware that sight pollution is detrimental to our way of living; and WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Mounds View enjoy a good standard of living; and WHEREAS, the Governor of Minnesota has proclaimed Minnesota Environmental Week the week of April 2()-26th; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT I, Duane W.
