MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page Two July 14, 1980 <br />,_n-Ziebarth made a motion, seconded by Forslund <br />to adopt the special meeting minutes of June 30, <br />1980 as presented. <br />Ayes -5 THE MOTION WAS CARRIED <br />Nays -0 <br />Jose Warren, 8044 Greenwood, presented a donation <br />to the City Council of $220 (from ACTION) for the <br />additional insurance coverage cost for the fire- <br />works display on July 20th. Mayor McCarty thanked <br />Ms. Warren and presented the check to Councilmember <br />Ziebarth (Festivities Liaison). <br />Councilmember Forslund noted that Item #E should <br />read "$485.00" rather than "$385.00 <br />Ziebarth made a motion, seconded by Hodges to <br />approve the consent agenda items #A, #C -E, and <br />#G -J. (Eliminating #B and #F). <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 <br />THE MOTION WAS CARRIED <br />Discussion of Item #F- Insurance Coverage for <br />:restival in the Park: <br />There was a discussion about the current status <br />of this insurance coverage. According to Acting <br />Clerk- Administrator Anderson, the City now has <br />coverage equal to $1.3 million dollars for <br />personal and property liability. The coverage <br />for $1.0 million dollars was obtained through <br />the City's insurance agent. The company displaying <br />the fireworks provides $300,000 insurance coverage <br />with the total cost. There was some discussion <br />about eliminating this extra $300,000 coverage. <br />Ziebarth made a motion, seconded by Rowley to <br />acce,A Item #F of the consent agenda as stated, <br />i.e. "Authorize staff to purchase an additional <br />$1.0 million insurance coverage for the 5th <br />annual Festival in the Park to be paid from the <br />Festivities Commission account <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 <br />THE MOTION WAS CARRIED <br />Discussion of Item #B- Approval of $2,200 for <br />topographical survey work from the Storm Drainage <br />Management account: <br />Acting Clerk- Administrator Anderson informed the <br />Council that in addition to the $2,200, Dan Boxrud <br />had informed him,late this afternoon, that there <br />5.
