MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL October 27, 1980 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />AMENDMENT TO MOTION: Ziebarth made a motion, <br />seconded by Rowley, to amend the main motion <br />by tabling it until the next regular meeting. <br />Ayes- Rowley, Ziebarth <br />Nays Rodges, Forslund, McCarty <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 <br />MOTION FAILS. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by <br />Forsnd, to grant a 4' variance to the drive- <br />way setback to Mr. Odle, 8070 Red Oak Drive, <br />in keeping with past precedence. <br />Ayes Forslund, Hodges, McCarty <br />Nays Rowley, Ziebarth MOTION CARRIES. <br />*Both Rowley and Ziebarth noted that they <br />voted nay because they felt this item <br />should be put on the regular agenda to be <br />voted upon rather than taking action when <br />it was an agenda item presented by the <br />resident. <br />Mayor McCarty asked to have items #F and #G 8. CONSENT AGENDA <br />removed from the consent agenda for discussion. <br />MOTION: Ziebarth made a motion, seconded by <br />TOW, to approve the consent agenda Items <br />A -E, H, and I and to waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />MOTION CARRIES. <br />Mayor McCarty wanted to note that Item #F, <br />approval of the proposal from the Layne Minne- <br />sota Company for $5,702.62 repair of Well #3 <br />would be paid from the water fund. <br />Mayor McCarty wanted to clarify his position <br />on Item #G (Invoice from School District #621 <br />for City's share of Edgewood Tennis Court <br />Contract as per Agreement made on 6- 9 -80). <br />He stated that, although his position of not <br />favoring this agreement remained the same, he <br />was obligated to honor the joint powers agree- <br />ment. Councilmember Forslund also agreed with <br />this statement. <br />Councilmembers Ziebarth and Hodges also noted <br />that their vote in favor of this agreement also <br />remained unchanged, as did Councilmember Rowley. <br />
