MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL October 27, 1980 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />MOTION: Rowley made a motion, seconded by <br />domIN Ziebarth, to approve Consent Agenda Items <br />F &G. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 <br />Attorney Meyers noted that the commercial <br />development revenue note for Arlin Wolf <br />had been sent to the City Hall, and that <br />he had just received his copy today. He <br />had not had a chance to review it. <br />MOTION: Forslund made a motion, seconded by <br />Zi'ebarth to defer discussion of the Arlin <br />Wolf commercial development note until the <br />next regular meeting when a report from the <br />attorney would be available. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 <br />MOTION CARRIES. <br />MOTION CARRIES. <br />Police Chief Grabowski: He noted that the <br />last few weeks the police department had <br />been using the interrogation room for pro- <br />cessing drunk drivers and this had provided <br />a significant amount of time saved for the <br />police. He referred the Council to his written <br />report for an account of other activities and <br />he also noted that budget -wise the department <br />was in good standing. <br />Councilmember Rowley noted that she had <br />received many favorable comments from PAR <br />(Parents Are Responsible) regarding Policeman <br />Smith's presentation. Chief Grabowski noted <br />that a future seminar, to be held at City Hall, <br />for the general public was planned also. <br />Parks and Recreation Director Anderson: He <br />reviewed the past 3 months activities of the Commis- <br />sion which included the Silverview Park <br />project, a park study for the City's compre- <br />hensive plan, the park referendum issue which <br />will be voted on at the November 4th election, <br />tennis courts on Edgewood nearing completion, <br />and additional issues of the Newsletter were <br />printed. The next three months will include: <br />design of Silverview Park, winter skating /hockey <br />programs, status of Lakeside Park Commission, <br />park maintenance issues, and developing a philo- <br />sophy position paper regarding youth athletics <br />role in Mounds View. <br />9.
