MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL 0ctob ?r 27, 1980
Regular Meeting Page Six
Councilmember Rowley noted that she had heard
many favorable comments from the residents
regarding the non-competitive soccer format
for the childrer. She also noted that other
cities councilmembers had inquired to her about
Mounds View's working agreement with the school
district and she had referred their questions
to Director Anderson.
There was no report from the Building and
Zoning Official (Steve Rose) because he was
at an out -of -town meeting.
Public Works Superintendent Decheine: He
stated they had recently televised Well #3
and found no problems. They were gearing up
with regular pre winter maintenance. They
got $410 for the remaining surplus vehicles.
The Council discussed the current logo with
Mr. Decheine and it was decided that Mr. Decheine
would contact some companies regarding the cost
and possibilities of a different logo. Council
members were asked to give their ideas to
Mr. Decheine.
Finance Director Brager: He stated current
activities of the Department were preparation
of the 1981 budget, election activities, the
long term finance planning, preparation for
audit and year end finance statements, sending
out bids for a different audit firm, as well
as regular Department activities. He stated
he felt the City would have a balanced budget
at the end of the year (1980).
Councilmember Hodges suggested Mr. Brager include
in his packet of information for new residents
notification of the night depository box available
to them.
Councilmember Rowley complimented Mr. Brager
on the extra time and effort he and his staff
spent on the budget preparation activities.
Mr. Kremers noted that the city engineer had
stated in his letter of 10 -23 -80 that an easement
would not be necessary by the proposed ponding
area since there were no structures to maintain.
Mr. Kremers felt that, if he was required to
instal the easement any way, he would, but he
felt he should not have to make a cash deposit
(bond). Attorney Meyers noted that Res. 983
11. APPROVAL OF COMPLETION OF
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT 80 -35
AND RELEASE OF CASH ESCROW,
FINAL RELEASE OF DEV. AGREE.
80 -34 CASH ESCROW (RESOLU-
TION NUMBERS 1184 and 1185)
