MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL November 10, 1980 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />Official Rose reviewed the past actions of the <br />Council regarding this subject. Staff needs the <br />Council's approvalto proceed with this project <br />so the deeds can be signed and the property can <br />be transferred by this Friday (November 14, 1980). <br />MOTION: Ziebarth made a motion, seconded by <br />Rowley, to authorize the city administrator and <br />the acting mayor to sign all necessary docu- <br />ments relating to the Kraus /Anderson Silverview <br />project. <br />Ayes -3 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED <br />There was no report as Attorney Meyers was not <br />present. <br />Rowley: <br />She noted she had given a tour of the City Hall, <br />Police Department, and Park Department to two <br />Japanese residents who were in the United States <br />learning more about local government. <br />Ziebarth: <br />He noted that he would like to discuss the issue <br />of obtaining a consensus of the Council before any <br />information is put in the news media. He would <br />like to discuss this at the next agenda session <br />when the other councilmembers and Mayor are present. <br />He did note that he would check with the City Attorney <br />to determine if this request would in any way violate <br />the current city charter. <br />Hodges: <br />He will be meeting with the Youth Service Bureau's <br />financial committee tomorrow and the executive board <br />on Friday. <br />15. REPORT OF CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />Administrator Pauley presented to the Council a request <br />to attend a public auction selling used office equipment, <br />that was in good condition, but available at a lower <br />cost than new equipment. He would like to obtain some <br />equipment needed by the City if it was available at this <br />sale. <br />MOTION: Hodges made a motion, seconded by Ziebarth, <br />to authorize the clerk /administrator to attend the auction <br />and to limit the amount of purchase to $3,000. <br />Ayes -3 <br />Nays -0 <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />12.
