MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL January 12, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />McCarty added the phrase "...due <br />to non conformance to specifications <br />of the original bids" to Item B. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, <br />seconded by Doty to reject the police <br />vehicle bids of December 29, 1980, <br />and to call for new bids to be advertised <br />for 9:00 A.M., Monday, February 2, 1981, <br />due to non conformance to specifications <br />of the original bids. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Councilmember Doty asked if participation <br />in a group plan with another community, <br />school, etc. was being investigated for <br />health insurance coverage for the City's <br />non contractual employees. Administrator <br />Pauley noted that this was being investigated. <br />Administrator Pauley also noted that the <br />Parks and Recreation Director had informed <br />him that a flat rate of $50.00 /month was to <br />be provided to the Recreation Supervisor in- <br />stead of the usual method (reimbursement $0.25 /mile). <br />The Council asked Administrator Pauley to prepare <br />a report showing the past mileage records of the <br />Park Recreation Director and to discuss this at <br />the next meeting. <br />MOTION: Doty made a motion, seconded by <br />Forslund to approve resolution #1225, establishing <br />mileage allowances and the City's contribution <br />for employees' health insurance for 1981 (Item #E- <br />consent agenda) and waive reading of the resdlution. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by <br />Doty to approve the request to hire Mr. James <br />Schlictmann, 2475 Clearview, as the Community <br />Service Officer, at a salary of $4.50 /hour at <br />a maximum of 25 hours /work week, starting <br />January 19, 1981. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />9.
