SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />City of Mounds View <br />February 17, 1981 <br />Mayor McCarty called the Special Meeting <br />to order at 7:07 p.m. in the Mounds View <br />City Hall Council Chambers. <br />Members Present Councilmembers Doty, <br />Forslund, Hodges and Mayor McCarty <br />Members Absent Councilmember Blanchard <br />Others Present Clerk- Administrator Pauley, <br />Building and Zoning Official Rose and <br />Finance Director Brager <br />Mayor McCarty opened the meeting by <br />indicating he felt the need to consider <br />amendments to Ordinance No. 301. <br />MOTION: Mayor McCarty made a motion, <br />seconded by Councilmember Forslund to <br />reconsider Ordinance No. 301 for <br />amendments. <br />Ayes -4 <br />Nays -0 <br />MOTION CARRIES <br />Mayor McCarty indicated that he felt the <br />intent of the ordinance was not to unrea- <br />sonably restrict alternatives the <br />Council might wish to consider for a <br />final wetlands ordinance and cited examples. <br />Mayor McCarty made a motion, seconded <br />b Cronn Doty, to amend Ordinance <br />No. 301 as follows: <br />1. Strike second sentence of the first <br />paragraph of 1.01(1). <br />2. Change the second paragraph of <br />1.01(1) to read, "The City antici- <br />pates land use applications con- <br />cerning land development which <br />could have a significant impact <br />on the City's Long Range Plan <br />with regard to zoning and wet- <br />land preservation. The City <br />Council has determined that a <br />wetlands management study is <br />desireable in order to evaluate <br />the development and control of <br />private wetlands." <br />DATE APPROVED: 02/23/81 <br />1.
