He noted that Councilmember Forslund <br />and he recently attended a Mc /MAC meeting regarding <br />the airport noise compatibility zones. <br />2. He notified the Council that Thomas New- <br />combe was the new District 4 Met Council representa- <br />tive. <br />3. The Lakeside Park Commission met last <br />Thursday to discuss Lakeside Park. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Doty, <br />to direct staff to draw up a draft joint powers <br />agreement with Spring Lake Park regarding the <br />administration and maintenance of Lakeside Park <br />and submit to the Council for approval. <br />Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />4. He noted his concern regarding the Senate <br />File 65 bill proposing to appoint the Attorney General <br />as the bond council for all public bonding in the state. <br />5. He noted the trucking law and that he <br />had received several phones calls regarding it. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Forslund <br />to direct staff to provide the council with information <br />from the city attorney regarding the impact of repealing <br />Chapters 81.01, Item 13, and 81.02, Subd. 5, section 5 <br />of the Municipal Code on the entire Chapter. <br />Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Administrator Pauley: <br />He would like to appoint another notary public in <br />the city offices to provide better accessibility and <br />service to the staff. The Council concurred. <br />MOTION: Forslund made a motion, seconded by Doty <br />to adjourn the February 23, 1981 regular City Council <br />meeting. <br />Ayes Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:55 P.M. <br />/ret <br />20.
