He added that they will give the increased <br />patrols a trial period and then look at the situa- <br />tion again. <br />Marjorie Pranke, 5302 Jackson Drive, stated there <br />was also a problem with the cars going up into <br />yards. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to direct Staff to <br />have the proper Department Heads meet with Mrs. <br />McDonald and Mrs. Pranke and compare notes <br />information -wise, regarding traffic on Jackson. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Patricia Coates, 7501 Greenfield, stated she had <br />received a parking ticket from an area that was <br />not posted, and she had written an affidavit which <br />had been denied. <br />Attorney Meyers explained that the ticket was <br />for boulevard parking, which was not allowed, and <br />once an individual files an affidavit, they must <br />zbide by the judge's decision. Mayor McCarty <br />dded that the City had no authorization over the <br />judge's decision. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting at 7:57 PM <br />and opened the public hearing for Tyson Trucking. <br />Official Rose reported that the purpose of the <br />hearing was for preliminary approval of the <br />project under the Municipal Industrial <br />Development Act. <br />David Breslau, of David Braslau Associates, Inc., <br />a environmental and transportation consultant, <br />made a presentation of a noise study his firm <br />had conducted and how Tyson Trucking would <br />effect the area. <br />Tim Tyson explained the planned operation of the <br />trucking company and showed the area where the <br />majority of activity would take place, and what <br />activity would occur close to the property line <br />to the trailer court. He explained that area <br />would be used solely for parking the long <br />distance trucks that would be coming in Thursday <br />r Friday afternoon and not leaving again until <br />unday. He stated they are very concerned with <br />meeting the State noise standards, and will put <br />up whatever type of barrier is required. <br />Page Two <br />Motion Carried <br />5.
