Mounds View City Council September 14, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eleven <br />ouncilmember Forslund stated she had been con <br />acted by a senior citizen who had been issued a <br />warning for parking in a no- parking zone at Spring <br />Lake. Mayor McCarty replied that no- parking signs <br />are posted and that there is parking available <br />around the lake. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported that she had <br />attended a meeting called by June Demos, mayor <br />of Roseville, regarding the redistricting of <br />Ramsey County. She added that a petition was <br />being circulated, asking that the communities <br />be kept together as much as possible. She <br />recommended that Mounds View send a letter, <br />stressing that they would like to stay entirely <br />in Ramsey County. <br />Motion /Second: Blanchard /Doty that the City <br />Council go on record as favoring being left in <br />the legislative district of Ramsey County, <br />in order to promote County and municipal <br />integrity. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />--'1ouncilmember Hodges asked that Staff check <br />Lth a representative of the church involved <br />.--.n the Poppelaars request, to see who can <br />sign the agreement. <br />Mayor McCarty stated that he had taken a <br />tour of the new Fire Department facility, <br />and that there would be an open house. <br />Mayor McCarty reported that the Twin Cities <br />Arms Plant is being asked by the Federal <br />government to fund the expenses for the <br />testing of wells, and recommended the City <br />ask for reimbursement also. <br />Councilmember Doty asked that Staff also <br />check into the testing of wells at Onan <br />Corporation. <br />Mayor McCarty noted that the City Council <br />had formally received the proposed 1982 <br />budget and directed the Clerk /Administrator <br />to prepare a summary and have it published <br />in the New Brighton Bulletin, per the <br />Charter requirements. <br />Motion Carried <br />
