Mounds View City Council October 13, 1981 <br />Regular_ Meeting Page Seven <br />review proposed ordinances and offer their <br />advise. Attorney Meyers suggested sending them <br />the proposed Chapter 48 for their review. Mayor <br />McCarty asked that it be discussed at the next <br />agenda meeting. <br />Mayor McCarty stated that applications had been <br />received to fill the vacancies on the Planning <br />Commission and Park and Rec Commission, and <br />recommended Cindy Wermager be appointed to <br />the Park and Rec Commission, and Rodney Herring <br />to the Planning Commission. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Hodges to accept the Mayor's <br />recommendation of Cindy Wermager to the Park <br />and Rec Commission. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hodges stated he felt Jerry Linke <br />would be a better candidate for the opening on <br />the Planning Commission as he had been a member <br />of the community for several years and has been <br />very active in it and done a good job. <br />Duncilmember Blanchard stated she felt Mr. Linke <br />-Mould do a very good job, and that perhaps he <br />was ready to move from the Park and Rec Commission, <br />and rather than let him burn out on the Park <br />Commission, she would like to see him moved. <br />Councilmember Doty stated he did not feel Mr. Linke <br />would be a good candidate for the Planning Commi- <br />ssion due to his views in many areas. Mayor McCarty <br />added that he felt Mr. Linke had been very vocal and <br />in opposition to much of what the Council has been <br />trying to do. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /McCarty to accept the Mayor's <br />recommendation of Rodney Herring to the Planning <br />Commission. <br />2 ayes 2 nays <br />Councilmembers Hodges and Blanchard voted against <br />the motion. <br />iyor McCarty asked for <br />trespassers at Spring <br />Pauley replied that the <br />they would put posts in <br />an update on the problems <br />Lake.
